FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
AMERICAN JOURNAL OF HEALTH PROMOTION
Dr. Michael P. O’Donnell, PhD, MPA, MPH, is the founder, president and editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Health Promotion and is the CEO of the Art and Science of Health Promotion Institute. He has managed more than 50 workplace health promotion programs for medium, large, and very large employers over the span of three decades. He received the Elizabeth Fries Health Education Award from the James F. and Sarah T. Fries Foundation in 2011. Dr. O’Donnell earned a PhD in Health Behavior and Health Education from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan, an MBA in General Management and an MPH in Hospital Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his undergraduate work in Psychobiology at Oberlin College.
